Our verdict
Duel is a real crypto casino, launched in 2025 by CSGOEmpire founder Ossi "Monarch" Ketola and run by Immortal Snail LLC of Nevis under an Anjouan licence that the regulator's register lists as valid, though only until 3 November 2026. Its provably fair Originals offer zero house edge within a daily allowance, which is rare. The main risks are terms that let Duel keep balances when it closes an account, a 2.1 Trustpilot score, and repeated controversies around its founder and marketing. We have not tested it yet and rate it Caution.

Overview
This Duel review covers the licence, the people behind the site, payouts, KYC rules and the risks to know before you deposit. Duel is a crypto casino and sportsbook at duel.com. It offers provably fair “Duel Originals”, third-party slots, live dealer games, sports betting and a fight-night brand, Duel Arena.
According to its terms (updated 6 October 2026), duel.com is owned and operated by Immortal Snail LLC, registered in Nevis with company number L22982. Duel’s own About page is signed by Monarch, who says he ran the Counter-Strike skin casino CSGOEmpire for more than nine years. Casino.org and other outlets identify him as Finnish entrepreneur Ossi Ketola. Press reports put Duel’s launch in 2025.
Duel’s pitch is unusual: no bonuses, and games with no house edge.
Our method: we have not yet made real-money deposits or withdrawals at Duel, and we have not tested its support. Figures below come from Duel’s own terms and pages, the Anjouan register, press reports and player reports, and we label them that way. Duel is an affiliate partner of this site: the Visit button is a referral link and we may earn a commission. Affiliate deals never change our scores.
Is Duel legit and safe?
Duel is a real, licensed business with a public founder. Its licence is offshore, though, and the brand has a long list of controversies.
- Licence. The Anjouan Gaming Authority’s public register lists Immortal Snail LLC with licence ALSI-202411026-FI1, status “valid”, issued 4 November 2024, for the domain duel.com. We checked it on 2 November 2026. The register shows the licence expiring on 3 November 2026. We will re-check for a renewal.
- Anjouan’s standing. In October 2026 the Guardian reported, and Gambling.com summarised, that the government of Comoros calls Anjouan licensing illegal. Anjouan’s authority rejects this. Either way, an Anjouan licence gives you little protection in a dispute.
- Founder controversies. In December 2024 Coffeezilla published an exposé on CSGOEmpire and Monarch’s conduct. In October 2025 X suspended Monarch’s, Duel’s and CSGOEmpire’s accounts on the same day; Card Player noted earlier controversy over his posts containing racial slurs.
- Marketing controversies. In November 2025 Andrew Tate began promoting a Duel link, which gambling media widely criticised. Casino.org reported that Duel’s official X account called a Black fighter a “chimp” in a since-deleted post. Casino.org also reported Nazi salutes and a swastika flag at Duel Arena 1 in Orlando in August 2026, and that Duel offered betting markets on that Duel-backed event.
- Security and tools. Duel offers 2FA. Its responsible-gaming page offers self-exclusion for at least six months and a 7-day cooling-off period. You can also self-exclude from single games. We found no clear deposit or loss limits.
We found no regulator action, court case or hack involving duel.com itself.
Bottom line: Duel is not anonymous and its licence is on the register. Its weak points are the pending renewal, an offshore regulator and a controversial brand.
Deposits & withdrawals
Duel is crypto-first. One reviewer (DeucesCracked) lists 16 coins, and the cashier code on Duel’s own site lists the same coins and a few more. Both name these 16: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, USD Coin, Litecoin, Solana, Dogecoin, XRP, BNB, TRON, Toncoin, Cardano, Avalanche, Chainlink, Bitcoin Cash and Hedera (HBAR). If you have no crypto, Duel offers a “Buy crypto with Swapped” option and a card form that accepts only Visa and Mastercard. The on-ramp sets its own fees and ID checks.
| Coin | Networks |
|---|---|
| Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC) | Several networks; reviewers mention TRC-20. Check the cashier |
| Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash | Native networks |
| Ethereum, Solana, TRON, BNB, XRP, Toncoin | Native networks |
| Cardano, Avalanche, Chainlink, Hedera | Check the cashier for the network |
Duel’s terms say it “does not profit from deposit or withdrawal fees”, but network and third-party fees apply. Minimums vary by coin. We found no published maximum withdrawal.
| What | Our tests | Duel says / player reports |
|---|---|---|
| Deposits | Not tested yet | Credited after network confirmation |
| Withdrawals | Not tested yet | Reviewers report most in under 5 minutes, Bitcoin 10–60 minutes. Some Trustpilot reviewers praise instant cashouts. |
Duel withdrawal time looks fast in reports, but we haven’t measured it.
KYC and account checks
Duel’s KYC policy (updated 1 October 2026) is stricter than its reputation. It says full verification is compulsory once your lifetime deposits pass EUR 5,000, when you request a withdrawal of any amount, or after a suspicious transaction. Full KYC means photo ID, a selfie holding it, and a bank statement or utility bill from the last three months. Some review sites call Duel “no KYC”, so enforcement may vary, but plan for the checks.
On Trustpilot, Duel scores 2.1 out of 5 from 167 reviews, with 66% one-star and 27% five-star. Most one-star reviews since May 2026 are about losses or rigging claims. A smaller group is more serious: a winning bet voided after an account restriction, about $900 held over alleged multiple accounts, a $200 balance held under investigation, and several accounts drained by withdrawals the owners say they didn’t make. Duel says those came from compromised logins without 2FA and did not reimburse them. We could not verify any single case.
Duel’s terms let it suspend or close an account “for any reason”, and say “any remaining funds may be withheld at our discretion”. Use one account, turn on 2FA, keep deposit records and never use a VPN.
Casino games & providers
Duel’s lobby lists about 20 outside studios, including Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City, Play’n GO, Big Time Gaming, NetEnt, Relax Gaming, Backseat Gaming and Print Studios. Live dealer games come from Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live.
The Duel Originals include Dice, Blackjack, Plinko, Crash, Mines, Beef, Keno, Castle Roulette (a live game), Video Poker, Rock Paper Scissors, Limbo and Hilo, plus Duel-made slots. Duel says all its house games are provably fair: it commits to a hashed server seed, combines it with your client seed and a counter, and reveals the seed afterwards so you can check every result. Third-party slots are not provably fair; they use each studio’s own random number generator.
Zero edge and rakeback
Duel’s headline feature is zero house edge (the house edge is the casino’s built-in advantage on each bet). Duel’s Originals have a base edge of 0.1%: in Dice, a 2x payout comes at a 49.95% chance. While you are inside your daily zero-edge allowance, Duel refunds that 0.1% as instant rakeback, so the net edge is zero. Once you use the allowance, the refund stops until the next day, and a “scaling edge” applies. Duel says its own slots are 100% RTP by design.
Zero edge makes the game fair, not winnable. Big losses stay as likely as big wins.
Sportsbook and Duel Arena
Duel also runs a sportsbook with esports such as CS2, according to reviewers. Trustpilot reviewers report voided bets and sharply cut limits. Duel also offers markets on its own Duel Arena fight nights, which industry observers quoted by Casino.org call a conflict of interest.
Bonuses & VIP
Duel has no welcome bonus and no deposit match. It argues that bonuses are funded by a higher house edge. Instead, Duel says slots and live games get instant rakeback worth 50% of the house edge. Rakeback is part of the house edge paid back on each bet, here with no wagering requirement (the amount you must bet before you can withdraw a bonus). On a slot with a 4% edge, that cuts the expected loss from $4 to $2 per $100 bet.
Duel also runs leaderboards, currently advertised as $25,000 daily and $3 million monthly for slots, live games and Originals. Leaderboards reward volume. Don’t increase your betting to chase them.
Licence, restricted countries & legality
duel.com holds an Anjouan licence. It has no UK, Malta or US licence.
Duel restricted countries, from its terms (updated 6 October 2026) and KYC policy (1 October 2026), include:
- United States and its territories, the United Kingdom and Australia
- France and its territories, Germany, Spain, Austria, Slovakia, Lithuania, and the Netherlands including Curaçao, Aruba and Sint Maarten
- Afghanistan, Armenia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, North Korea, Syria, Yemen, the UAE, Montenegro and Venezuela
- Saint Kitts and Nevis, Comoros, DR Congo, Libya, Somalia, Myanmar, Sudan, South Sudan, Mali and the Central African Republic
Duel’s terms bar circumventing its access controls. Using a VPN to hide your location can cost you your account and balance. Even where Duel is not blocked, an offshore licence does not make it legal where you live.
Customer support
Duel advertises 24/7 live chat through the site, plus email at [email protected] and [email protected], and a Discord community. Complaints go to [email protected]. Disputes go to binding arbitration in Anjouan, and there is no independent dispute service. Trustpilot reviewers are split on support quality. Duel answers 95% of negative Trustpilot reviews. We have not yet run our own support test.
Verdict
Duel suits experienced crypto players who understand house edge and want provably fair games at zero net edge, without bonus wagering rules. Its pricing is unusually transparent: on paper, the Originals and rakeback give players better odds than most crypto casinos.
Against that, its licence is due for renewal, its terms let it keep balances on closure, its Trustpilot score is poor, and its founder and marketing keep attracting controversy. We have not tested it yet and rate it Caution. Avoid it if you live in a restricted country or can’t pass full ID checks. Keep stakes small, use 2FA, withdraw often and never use a VPN. Gambling should be entertainment, not income. If it stops being fun, set limits, take a break, or contact GamCare, Gamblers Anonymous or the National Council on Problem Gambling.
Duel: common questions
Is Duel legit?
Yes, it is a real, operating crypto casino, but it carries real risks. Duel is run by Immortal Snail LLC of Nevis under Anjouan licence ALSI-202411026-FI1, which the Anjouan register lists as valid until 3 November 2026. Its founder, Ossi "Monarch" Ketola, is public. Its terms let it keep balances when it closes an account, its Trustpilot score is 2.1, and its brand has been involved in several controversies, so we rate it Caution.
Is Duel legal in the US, UK or Australia?
No. Duel's terms say it does not accept players from the United States and its territories, the United Kingdom or Australia, along with France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and others. Using a VPN to get around this breaks the terms and can cost you your account and balance.
How long do Duel withdrawals take?
Usually minutes, according to reviewers and players, but we have not tested it yet. Reviewers report most crypto withdrawals in under five minutes, with Bitcoin taking 10 to 60 minutes at busy times. Duel says it charges no withdrawal fee. Identity checks or account reviews can hold a withdrawal much longer.
Does Duel require KYC?
Yes, for withdrawals, according to its own policy. Duel's KYC policy, updated 1 October 2026, says full verification is compulsory once lifetime deposits pass EUR 5,000, when you request a withdrawal, or after a suspicious transaction. It asks for photo ID, a selfie holding the ID and a recent bank statement or utility bill. Some reviewers say they withdrew without ID, so enforcement may vary. Plan for the checks anyway.
Does Duel have a welcome bonus or rakeback?
No welcome bonus, but it has rakeback. Duel argues that bonuses are paid for by a higher house edge. Instead, it says it pays instant rakeback worth 50% of the house edge on slots, with no wagering, and runs its Originals at zero net edge up to a daily allowance. It also runs daily and monthly leaderboards. You still lose on average on any game with an edge.
What does "zero edge" mean at Duel?
It means Duel's Originals pay back 100% of stakes on average, within limits. The games have a base 0.1% edge, and Duel refunds it as instant rakeback while you are inside a daily zero-edge allowance. Once you use the allowance, the refund stops until the next day. Zero edge makes the game fair, not profitable: results are pure variance, and you can still lose everything you bet.
Who owns Duel?
Immortal Snail LLC, a Nevis company with registration number L22982, according to Duel's terms and the Anjouan licence record. Duel's own About page and press coverage name Finnish entrepreneur Ossi "Monarch" Ketola, who also founded the Counter-Strike skin gambling site CSGOEmpire, as its founder.
